Our Manufacturing Process

Quality begins at the source. Our Continuous Upwards Casting - Oxygen-Free Copper plant is where the journey of excellence starts, producing the purest copper rod that forms the foundation of all our products.

Raw Material Selection

We begin with premium A-Grade Copper Cathodes registered with the London Metal Exchange (LME), ensuring 99.9% purity from the very start. Only the finest raw materials enter our facility, setting the stage for exceptional quality.

Oxygen-Free Copper Production

Our state-of-the-art OFC plant utilises advanced continuous casting technology to produce oxygen-free copper rod ranging from 8.0mm to 20.0mm in diameter. Our casting process maintains precise temperature control and uniform cooling, ensuring consistent metallurgical properties throughout the rod length. This critical process eliminates hydrogen embrittlement and oxidised impurities, resulting in copper with superior conductivity and long-term reliability.

Key Achievement: Over 100% min. IACS conductivity — exceeding international standards (ASTM B49-98)

Wire Drawing & Processing

The OFC rod is drawn down to precise diameters for various applications, alongside going through Continuous Extrusion machines for further shaping. These processes maintain the oxygen-free characteristics while achieving the exact dimensions required for enamelled wires, bare conductors, and other products.

Specialised Manufacturing

Depending on the final product, the drawn wire undergoes additional processes:

  • Enamelling: High-temperature insulation coating for motor and transformer windings
  • Paper Insulation: Precision wrapping with kraft, nomex, or kapton insulation
  • Busbar Formation: Extrusion and cutting into square, or rounded busbars
  • Stranding: Multiple wires combined for flexible conductors

Quality Testing & Certification

Every product undergoes rigorous testing in our advanced laboratory. We test for conductivity, tensile strength, elongation, diameter accuracy, insulation breakdown voltage, amongst any other relevant testing to ensure adherence to international standards.
